                                           Starts 8:30 AM (sharp) to +/- 4:00 PM



This 1-day Class Session incorporates: Theory review, hands on radio sessions, and the ROC (M) certification exam.

Home study prior to the class date is strongly recommended utilizing provided textbook or online home study.



Learn about the uses of marine radios, choice of frequencies, operation, phonetic alphabet, procedural words and phrases, as well as Digital Selective Calling and the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (DSC/GMDSS).

 

Be sure that you and your family take the Maritime Radio course so all on board can use the radio in the event of an emergency.

 

This complete package will prepare you for the Restricted Operator Certificate (Maritime) exam which is included as part of this course.

 

Upon passing the exam you will be issued with a temporary certificate which is valid until your permanent ROC(M) card is received.
